Deploying HP ElitePads with SCCM 2012 SP1

Hello,

I am looking for a little help on how to prestage accounts in Active Directory for a bunch of HP ElitePad 900s we have. These use a USB network adapter for the PXE boot.

I have followed the guidelines in the excellent white papers and the deployment itself works great using SCCM 2012 SP1.

Normally I would look at the MAC or GUID that pops up when doing the network boot but on the ElitePads this doesn't come up meaning I am unsure how to proceed to get the GUID to use when prestaging the accounts to allow for a zero touch deployment. Any tips on how to do this with an ElitePad would be greatly appreciated.

If this is not possible how do I get the deployment to prompt for the computer name to use with a standard OSD deployment task sequence as I'd rather not start a fresh MDT one as this one is so close to working exaclty as we want - just the computer names left to sort?

On a second note, I have also noticed that each time I do the build it creates a new computer account in AD rather than use the one already created. I'm guessing this is something to do with it being a USB network adapter but I could be wrong. Has anyone else noticed this and if so how have they worked around it?

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Darren
