Brand new Dell Latitude E6430 taken out of the box and then powered on. Somehow, SCCM 2012 R2 knows about it and the PXE boot fails. I use task sequences to advertise to unknown computers. I've imaged several other computers so I know everything works. It's just this one computer that SCCM seems to somehow "know" about so the task sequence for unknown computers doesn't apply and I get the following entry in the SMSPXE.log file...
F0:1F:AF:6A:B1:4C, 4C4C4544-004C-5010-8044-B3C04F465A31: no advertisements foundSMSPXE2/14/2014 3:58:06 PM2976 (0x0BA0)
I've spent a long time now (a few hours) trying to figure out how to build a report to find this device and remove it so the task sequence will be found and apply. Everything I have tried has not been able to return a result for the above GUID (4C4C4544-004C-5010-8044-B3C04F465A31).
This is how we image new computers now and for this to be feasible, we will need to have a simple way for the computer technicians to address this problem if they come across it.
Any advice on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated.
