I am testing Win 7 to Win 7 refresh scenario with offline hardlink (i can't format and repartition disk). I am stuck at a step where it need to apply windows 7 image on the disk. Since existing systems are win 7 they have BDEDrive drive. while deploying image, BDEDrive becomes 'C:' and since i my task sequence step to apply image try to put image on BDEDrive that is too small it deployment fails. If i go back to my TS, i don't see any option where i can put logic to force my task sequence to apply image on main partition of hard drive that is of bigger size (but assigned E drive letter) .
I can assign 'specific logical drive letter' to 'E' but i am not sure if it will be always on each system that is going to be migrated and same TS will be used for WinXP to Win7 as well. Options that are available in TS for apply image are:
