Migrating file types through USMT 5 amd 5.5 from any drive on the system

Hi ,

Is it possible to migrate files with .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx extensions from locally attached drives saved outside user profile? 

Does USMT takes care of these file types automatically? If not, pls. share some pointers how to capture and restore specific file types using USMT.
