Hey everyone,
I have a quick question about deploying OS's through Software Center.
So we've got a Task Sequence that we set to deploy to Configuration Manager Clients, Media, Pxe. It is set to 'Required,' to run as soon as possible, and to allow users to interact with it.
It shows up in the software center exactly like you expect, but fails when it attempts to auto-launch (since it is required). If you wait for it to retry, it will fail. If you manually click to Retry button, it prompts to install a new operating system and then kicks off and works beautifully.
So my question: Is this by design? So someone doesn't accidently deploy a required TS and have a device and/or entire enterprise reimage itself? Again, manually hitting the 'Install' or 'Retry' button works everytime, and good old fashioned PXE works great too.
If so - that would make sense, and would not be a big deal. We can still make things work with a few extra steps, I just didn't want to implement those if I didn't have too.
Environment: SCCM 2012 R2 with 2905002 and 2910552 applied, but NOT R2 CU1.
Thanks for your help!
