Hopefully someone could help. I am having an issue getting the network drivers on an HP 8200 workstation to work. Here is the method I used
1. Take a newly images 8200 WITHOUT the NIC driver.
2. Copy the Driver Store folder off which doesn't contain the NIC driver
3. Install the NIC driver via EXE on the machine
4. Compare the Driver Store folder that DOES contain the NIC drivers to the folder WITHOUT the NIC driver
5. There are 5 newly created folders which each contain about 5 files each. There is an INF file in each folder
6. I copied each INF file, and created a new folder under my ConfigMan Source
7. Under drivers, imported the folder with ONLY those 5 INF files
8. The drivers appeared to install successfully
9. Created a task sequence and added the APPLY DRIVER PACKAGE task
10. The Task Sequence succeeds, but the OS doesn't have the NIC driver. If I look in the driver store, the NIC driver isn't there.
Is there a better way to go about this? How can I determine which drivers are needed? I am just trying to get the NIC driver installed with the TS.
