OSD task sequence fails when 2 or more network cables attached

I run SCCM 2012 R2, and am starting to build an image for Server 2012 R2

The server I'm testing has 2 network ports.  If I connect only 1 network cable, the image process completes without issue.  But  I noticed when I cable both, and launch the build, it will fail before even starting with the following:

RequestMPLocation failed; 0x80004005

GetMPLocations failed; 0x80004005

QueryMPLocator: no valid MP locations are received

With both cables connected, I drop to a cmd prompt and ipconfig, both have valid IP addresses, are identified correctly, and I can ping the MP server and get to any other network locations.

The simple work around is to just plug in one cable to do server images, but we have servers delivered to remote sites that a 3rd party racks and cables, so to have them "just cable one", then the rest later (or get the network guy to disable ports temporarily) so we can image it is kinda hokey.

Anyone seen this before?  thanks in advance for any input

Tony
