Dynamic Boot Media PreReqs

I have been conducting some research to determine the difference between usingSite-Based boot media and dynamic boot media.  I know Site-Based boot media is tied to a single site. I also know that dynamic boot media can be used at any site in the hierarchy.Dynamic boot media also contacts the MP specified during the creation of the media and then is redirected to a closer MP based on the boundaries of all sites in the hierarchy.

Now my question:  To use Dynamic boot media does a boundary group for site assignment (not content) have to be created to be able to obtain a list of task sequences?

I have a desktop admin that built a Dynamic boot media even though we only have 1 primary site. When he uses it, he is unable to retrieve a list of available task sequences, and receives error (0x80004005) in the task sequence wizard. SMSTS log suggests the WinPE client can’t locate the MP, even though the MP is pingable from a command prompt.

My assumption is that the process is failing because there are no boundaries for site assignment just content boundaries for DP’s, and Dynamic boot media requires the use of a site assignment boundary group.

Can anyone confirm or deny my logic?
