Im in need of some assistance. I am running SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2 on Server 2012 in a school district environment. We have roughly 14,000 machines (about 40 campuses). We implemented OSD over the summer and everything was working beautifully; we tested well.
When our techs came back today and they starting imaging, we had a significant drop in network performance; slow times to load WinPe boot image, some images erroring out during the task sequence, and some errored out before you could select a task sequence.
Does anyone have any thoughts I could try to improve performance? I think it was just the load the server was taking but our old WDS server didn't seem to have these issues. I realize this is a very broad question and near impossible to answer, as you don't
really know what our network is set up like, I just thought I'd put it out here for some feedback of things I can check. I thought about the TFTPBlockSize, and increasing the Transmit and Receive buffers on the NIC, but am unsure if that would actually do
anything. Any feedback is appreciated.
