Hello, hoping someone has an idea here. I recently imported the Windows 10 Upgrade Task Sequence made available as a sample and had only a few issues when testing on a clean upgrade. Once I got it working and moved to a few more systems, the Task Sequence failed with a 0x0000058A error, which traced back to an application that is not compatible, and Microsoft blocks in-fact if you try and install it on Threshold 2.
No big deal, I was already planning on expanding their sample into a full OSD with a "Remove incompatible Applications" section and other customizations. The issue is, even though it still works and the upgrade completes successfully, having an uninstall and restart BEFORE running the Windows 10 Upgrade results in the OSD Dialog not being visible after the planned restart.
After the reboot you are at the logon, you can sit there or logon but you never see the OSD Task Sequence dialog, just regular windows until the planned setup reboot, right before the black screen with the 0% to 100% circle. I wasn't even sure it was running the first time, I was looking through the logs, finding no errors and while reading a few blogs, when I saw the computer restart and go into the Windows 10 configuration screen.
Short story, I'd like the dialog visible the same as if there was no reboot, the user needs to see something is happening and although the SCCM Software Center does block access to any Deployments while the "invisible" upgrade was happening (so the confused user can't start it again), I do see confusion on the users part if not shown a dialog and some progress at this point in the upgrade. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
