I'm able to successfully install 60+ updates via a build and capture task sequence.
But I'm trying to streamline this process to include ALL updates after Win7 SP1 as part of a the Build and Capture task sequence.
It would seem I should be able to simply download all updates via WSUS/SCCM after SP1 release date, but of course it's never as easy as it seems at first.
I'm hoping I can get some advice on whether this will work or if there is a better way before I spend the next two or three days on it.
Should I just download all Windows 7 updates and deploy those in my task sequence whether they're needed or not?
The only other way I can think to do this is to run Windows 7 SP1 install from the media, hit CTRL + Shift + F3 and do the updates manually in audit mode to get the list of all updates I need. But that actually sounds a bit time consuming and too manual a process. I guess I could just capture that system afterwards and make it my Windows Image for deployments going forward but I can't bring myself to be satisfied with that manual process.
