Hello. I am working on my first SCCM deployment. I have a distribution point setup and added as a secondary site in SCCM. I have enabled PXE within the properties of the DP on SCCM and configured it to answer PXE requests. WDS is installed and there are no boot images kept locally on the server. The OS and both boot images have been distributed to the DP. I have verified this by looking at the SCCMcontent.lib folder on the distribution point. I have created my task sequence and deployed it to a computer collection that I have built containing the MAC addresses of my test computers. When I boot a test pc to PXE, I get the following error:
"The Windows Boot Configuration Data file from your PXE server does not contain a valid operating system entry. Ensure that the server has boot images installed for this architecture.
File:\TMP\x86x64\{F28D83AB-7EF2-45F0-A2F0-F53C7FEDF144}.BCD
Error code: 0xc0000098.
I've read a few articles about this issue (see link below) and have removed the enable PXE from the DP in SCCM, restarted the server, and then enabled it again. However, this has not corrected the issue. I still get the same error. I check the event log for WDS and it shows that WDS has tried to deploy to these computers. I can not find the smspxe log on the server. It is not in the registry. I'm not sure what I should do now short of removing the WDS role from the distribution point and trying again. Any suggestions?
