I hope someone can help here.
I have SCCM 2012 R2 SP1. I've configured ZTI with USMT to use State Migration points. During OSDIn-Place deployments with USMT work perfectly and in the SCCM console underUser State Migration I can see that when OSD completes with success in the console those show the migration status properly ascompleted. That is good.
Here's my issue:
When I do a hardware replacement using computer association in the SCCM console under User State Migrationit shows as Side-by-Side Migration as it should for this migration type.
Here's the strange part. I have two task sequences. First backup data task sequence that runs on the source computer. It backs up data properly to the SMP. On the target device another task sequence runs that restores data from SMP and exits the task sequence with success.
The problem however is that in the SCCM console under User State Migration the Side-by-Side Migrationshows"In Progress" instead of Success.
This is a very big problem since it forever shows as "In Progress" the temp data on the State Migration Point will never be set to be deleted after "X" number of days since it did not show as Successful Migration under User State Migration.
This is an issue because we could potentially fill up disk space on the SMP. We would rather it work as expected and we won't have to monitor all our DPs and purge old data because of this issue.
Does anyone have suggestions and have you seen this problem before?
Thank you for any help on this. It's very important for us to solve asap. Thanks
