I have been using SCCM 2012 R2 for some time, but due to having an existing 'image' I have not had the need to deploy applications via a task sequence, only via device collects / software center. I am experiencing an issue during my task sequence when the first group of software has installed and the second group of software starts. To explain further I have the following setup:
Task Sequence that Installs Windows 7 Enterprise (Drivers, network settings, domain join etc all within this section)
Setup Operating System:
Setup Windows and Configuration Manager
Install Application - English
Install Application - Science
When I try to use more than one "Install Application" task within the task sequence it fails. All Install Application tasks complete on their own without errors, so all the software is installing just fine.
I'm 95% sure this is related to there being two "Install Application" tasks in a row, but the SMSTS.log only displays the generic 80004005 error. Content is distributed as I can confirm the task sequence works with a single "Install Application" task.
Has anyone come across this or can they offer any advice where I can look for further clues?
