Request State Store Fails - 0x00000057

Really odd one here... Running ConfigMgr 2012 SP1 and have an in-place refresh T/S that is using a SMP/USMT. At the Request State Store (before scanstate/backup to SMP) the T/S fails with an 0x00000057 error.

This is happening on multiple machines.

Logs wise smsts.log shows the following:
