Hi..
Trying to replicate an OSD image to a DP and it's always failing with the message:
Detail will be available when server finishes processing the message
I've seen the other question posted about this problem, and how the issue was related to the DP does not have the Primary site in its Pull DP settings tab, but I've tried replicating it both with and without the primary site in the pull settings and it hasn't made a difference.
Other packages replicate no problem. What am I looking for in which log file???
We're using SP1 with CU3.
Thank you...

Hi everyone,
some days ago I updated our SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2 Server to SCCM 2012 R2 CU1. The Updated was successful, no errorcodes. After this I updated the task sequence to the new PE images and added the nessessary LAN drivers to the pe image.
The installation of Win7 x64 works fine, all drivers are installed and also the SCCM Client and the command line steps are working fine. But the application installation step will fail. First I thought it it a generell problem, but this morning I tried an older device and here the task sequence works completly fine, without any errors. The new device is a Fujitsu P920 with a SSD inside.
The last two days I spend hours on searching the web for a solution. I tried many suggestions, but nothing worked.

Hi all,
I'm searching for a while on this one now... I'm unable to perform a "ZeroTouch" Build & Capture of my reference machine to get a master image, with Capture Media it seems to be working, but this is a manual step...
While running a W7SP1 Build & Capture task sequence, the "Capture the reference machine" group fails at "PrepareOS". The step before "PrepareOS", "Prepare ConfigMgr Client" runs without any issues.
The only error I can find, shows up in the report "OSD - history of a TS":
... 0005 that is either already released or we have not connected to it. BootImage::ResolveImageSource( pszPackageId, sImagePackageSourcePath, sImageSourcePath), HRESULT=80070002 (e:\qfe\nts\sms\framework\tscore\bootimage.cpp,732) TS::Boot::BootImage::StageBootImage(sPkgID), HRESULT=80070002 (e:\nts_sccm_release\sms\client\osdeployment\prepareos\prepareos.cpp,917) PreStageWINPE(m_bDebug), HRESULT=80070002 (e:\nts_sccm_release\sms\client\osdeployment\prepareos\prepareos.cpp,1363) pCmd->Sysprep(bActivate, bMsd), HRESULT=80070002 (e:\nts_sccm_release\sms\client\osdeployment\prepareos\main.cpp,270) De-Initialization successful Exiting with error code 2 sending with winhttp failed; 80072ee2 SendResourceRequest() failed. 80072ee2 Download() failed. 80072ee2. I've searched the smsts.log file hundreds of times for errors, nothing there...
Can anyone give me a clue or just something...? I really don't know what my next step, to make this work, could be...
Thanks!
Hello,
I am trying to find info about what to do if our client migration (for example from XP to 7) failed during OS image applying, for example because of power failure. We have 2 TS: one for migration using SMP and one for migration using hardlinks. TS saves users files to SMP or locally and imaging fails. What need I to do to restart migration and restore previously captured files? I suppose what I need to copy both TS and disable step (group) which captures user files. If migration fails, I run copy of TS with disabled capturing (using PXE), it installs system and restores user files. If computer damages, I can create computer association in the console and files will be restored on the new computer. Will it work? Is it good practice? Or I need to manually install a new system and use loadstate.exe to restore files?
Install sccm 2012 R2
Install out of band service point
any computer in collection left click in manage out of band and click Discover AMT Status show massage
Where I Go??
and how to configure client because power on And power off In SCCM 2012
No one any idea ?!?
Hi guys,
we need for some reasons to have the AD Powershell Module integrated into our Boot Image (SCCM 2012 R2, Win 8.1 -- customer wants to make AD Queries inside the task sequence)... we followed the step by step entry located here: http://sysadmins.no/?p=218 but after copying the modified boot image back to the SCCM CAS and updating the image to the DP's we do not have any longer powershell itself integrated in the image... (!!)
If we want to re-add at SCCM Console under "optional components" Powershell it says everything went well... but it is definitely not integrated ?!!
Anyone experienced something similar !? Any hints !?
Howdy,
i have a single MP, Single DP (Same box) SCCM 2012 R2 infrastructure running Server 2012.
i'm having an issue when trying to perform OSD deployments VIA boot media to clients. If the client had the SCCM agent on it before and it is known, no problems, i can load up my USB stick, boot to it and it finds my advertisement fine and can image no problems. however if it is a bare metal that has not been imaged before at all, i get "No task sequence found for this device" in windows PE.
In checking the SMSTS log on the client, the error i see is "No assigned task sequence"
During the creation of the boot media i enabled (checked the box for) unknown computer support.
The Boot WIM, Image WIM, and TS have all been distributed to the site server and i have verified the content status of all dependencies to be correct.
The task sequence is advertised to a collection called "OSD Deployment Test" i have also added the "All Unkown Computers" Collection as a member of "OSD Deployment Test" I have verified that the "All Unknown Computers" Collection DOES include the unknown 86, and unknown 64 computer collections. however if it is an unknown computer the darn thing STILL will not find the advertised TS.
what am i missing here?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!
Tainted.
Hello everyone,
We’re using SCCM 2012 R2. In our OSD deployment process, we’re using a required OSD advertisement to install an OS image and then using a status filtering rule together with a VB script that remove the appropriate computers from collections after the OSD
completes (as documented here:http://mpgnotes.wordpress.com/tag/remove-a-computer-from-a-collection-when-osd-task-sequence-is-completed/)
The rerun behavior on the advertisement is set to always rerun which is what we want. However, what we are finding is that even though the VB script removes the computers from the collections, a few minutes after, the computers go through another OSD process. It appears that during the first OSD, after the SCCM agent gets installed, it receives the policies/advertisements before the task sequence completes, and since I’m removing the computers from status filter 11171, this is likely why the why the computers go through another OSD run.
Anybody else experiencing this issue? Is there a way to delay the agents in receiving the policies?
Thank you for any assistance!
I have recently began testing an in-place Workstation reimage. I have set my task sequence to capture user state with the OSDStateStorePath set to %SystemDrive%\UserState. I also have applied updates to my OS Image.
When deploying my reimage, the updates failed. This caused the User State to not be Restored. Is there any possible way to get that User State back now that the machine has been reimaged? I have searched the c:\ for UserState but it is not there.
Hello,
When we perform a server build with SCCM OSD, the PXE boot registers with SCCM before the task sequence kicks off. Is there a way to pull that time stamp via powershell or WMI for that machine? I am unable to locate any functions which perform that now.
Kory

WinPE boots but at the preparing network settings the PC reboots. When I press F8 to troubleshoot. I receive an IP address and can see the hard drive. Here is the error from the smsts.log on the client.
