Failed to load class properties and qualifiers for class BDD_UsePackage in task sequence. 0x80041002

Following situation. In SCCM we have one Standalone Primray Site Server and two Site Server. The two site server are also SMS Provider. MDT 2012 was installed on all three Servers and the Config Manager Integration was run. When starting the Console on any of this server and editing an MDT Task Sequence, it occasionally pops up an error "An error occured when loading the task sequence". TaskSequenceProvider.log File throws a lot of errors:

Tried removing the integration on all SMS Provider Machines and readded them. It does not make a differenence. Does anyone know if MDT supports the use of multiple SMS Providers? When I only use one Provider and deinstall the other two, it works ok.

Windows 10 1803 will not auto activate after deployment

So I have been messing around with SCCM on Windows Server 2012 R2 for a few months now. I got hired on as an IT Tech at a community college but my degree is in Simulation Technology, a lot translates over but a lot doesn't too. Maybe I'm missing something simple but I've tried the command line, the image editor answer file, and the windows settings within task sequence but nothing seems to work, I always get that pesky 0x80004005 error and the OS fails to install, therefore removing my access to any log files. Does anyone know if there's another way to do this? Our KMS is on a University System server and using it would take away a lot of our control over our servers and we don't really have an available server for a KMS service right now so MAK keys are all we can use.

Provisioning Packages Deployment During "OOBE" Phase Via SCCM Task Sequences

Hi Techies,

has anyone applied the Provisioning packages to a Windows 10 Desktop during the first-run experience (out-of-box experience or "OOBE") using SCCM Task Sequences? Is it possible through SCCM.

Please let me know!!

I've followed the reference link :https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/configuration/provisioning-packages/provisioning-apply-package

but it works only with USB Drive

Thanks😊

Task Sequence procedure for Bios settings

Hello,

I have a question regarding BIOS settings for SCCM imaging.

With my current employer, the IT group I am a part of with the organization we are doing a few things that I think could be automated or simplified.

The question I have is regarding a network NIC boot and loading the preferred BIOS settings.

In our process we manually have to boot to bios, change settings, then reboot to NIC for SCCM image to start loading.

Is there not a way around this or somehow automating and changing the settings in the bios, then rebooting to NIC to start loading the image?

We do have two types of BIOS preferences, one for secure boot off, one for secure boot on, being desktops and laptops.

Is there a more defacto enterprise level way of doing things in regards to these settings?

Thank You,

Wayne

Diskpart task sequence versus F8 cmd prompt and running diskpart at beginning of SCCM wizard

Hello,

Can anyone tell me the possible reasons why a company would run the diskpart commands to wipe, clean, and recreate partitions at start of SCCM GUI wizard vs creating a task sequence to do it? Just trying to figure out why the company I work for is choosing to do it this way on all machines vs just running a task sequence to do it?

We do use full laptop hdd encryption, and we do use the option to backup or restore data in the sccm wizard as well. For current users deployed though we use a fully automated backup program as well that backs up any changed files for the users in selected directories.

Thank You,

Wayne

SCCM Total Imaging time question

$

Hello,

Can anyone tell me an approximate time to load images in an enterprise environment?

The environment we are in we have a main office we work out of.

We have buildings inter-connected with wired and wireless network.

When imaging from the main building it takes 2-4 hours to image a machine. This is even if we only have 1 machine imaging.

I'm familiar with it usually taking 40-90 minutes for images and that is up to about 10-20 machines at one time.

I'm wanting some advice on how to possibly shorten the time for imaging, advice on what might be causing the longer times imaging,, and possibly a suggestion on how to offer nice suggestion to imaging group on how they might allow us to setup an imaging area in some of the other building because it is 10-45 minutes back and forth to buildings but it is currently "Denied" to have imaging done at other locations beside main location.

I'm not really sure why it is not allowed. Perhaps daytime work hour bandwidth issues or something else.

Could we still possibly setup imaging at those building if we only kicked off imaging before the end of the days shift so it would not impact users at site?

Not really sure what the best professional enterprise suggestions might be for this.

We are enterprise level. There are literally thousands of users and funds for infrastructure is really not an issue. If I could present the idea with some education and logic it may be accepted, but just running the  idea to someone without data it will be rejected.

Thank You,

Wayne

SCCM CB 1806

Hi,

I have configured SCCM CB 1802 on Azure VM as IaaS and update it to 1806 and the update went well. I configured DP on another VM which in located on-premises and enabled PXE configuration and checked the option "Enable PXE Responder without WDS". I can see PXE Responder service is running on DP. For client to boot from DP i use DHCP Scope Options 60 (IP of DP), 66 (TFTP IP of local machine) and 67 (Boot file name "SMSBoot\x86\wdsnbp.com". Now when i boot my PXE client machine which is configured on virtual box it downloaded WDSNBP  from DP with "pending request 0". My concern is the TFTP download file path is different from the one set in DHCP options as can be seen below the system remain halted until i pressed F12 then i start booting and task sequence appeared.

Please advice what is wrong i have done

MDT 2013 - Split WIM file Support

MDT 8450 will not split WIM to support UEFI FAT32.  I have used a third party tool to split the WIM but cannot get the MDT deployment wizard to see the new SWM files.  I have changed the Operatingsystems.xml, LTIApply.wsf and the Unattend.xml files by changing the .wim extension to the .swm file extension.

What else do I need to change or is all the posting I have read is in correct or the .swm file extension is not supported.

Your are also missing a selection for MDT 8540 and earlier versions.  WHY????

Greetings

I'm getting the following error message when building a new machine via SCCM, the machine automatically restarts after the error and the endpoint functions 100% well after that.

I'm guessing there is something in the task sequence that is causing this error. any advise?

PXE issue with ADK 1803

I am having some issues with PXE booting and task sequence.  WinPe starts but flashes network and then stop.  I am not sure how far in the process that it has reached.  I have the smsts.log, but there is not enough information to help reach a solution. What other log files can I search to see what is really happening and causing the failure?

Performance Information command in Task Sequence

Hi,

I am trying to achive a "simple" task from my SCCM 2012 task sequence. I am trying to get full set of assesments using winsat.exe so as a result I get WEI score for all components on Windows 7 64 bit newly installed computers.

My TS basicaly runs command line with winsat.exe formal command

In smsts.log I get an error Not enough storage is available to process this command. (Error: 00000008; Source: Windows). In C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\winsat.log following error apear 15322933 (4320) - winsat\processwinsaterror.cpp:0095: ERROR: tried to read resource strings, unknown exception occured.

I have also tried to disable 64-bit redirection but TS also fails. Does anybody have an idea what am I doing wrong?

EDIT.

Here is the content of c:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\winsat.log

I think that bold lines in winsat.log shows the real cause why Task Sequence if failing. What is interesting is that if I run winsat.exe formal from elevated CMD(Run as administrator) full set of assesments successfully runs.

Hi

There are a possible way to restart the computer for a specific application OSD (UDI) ?

The task sequence need to continue.

When I try to create a drivers package I receive the error "The specified folder doesn't exist or SMS Provider computer has no read, write or delete subfolders and files permissions to it." I have added the system account to the share permissions with Full Control and that didn't resolve it.  I also added the SCCM server account into the share permissions with FC. Still no go.  I am running SCCM 2012 SP1 with a separate dedicated SQL server. Both servers are running Server 2008 R2.  Thanks in advance.

Apply SCCM Task Sequence ISO wihtout USB to Image a PC

Hi Champs,

We use SCCM 2012 latest build. Imaging happens using SCCM PXE server, when they failed remote sites rely on USB Stick for Imaging. Often due to increased size of ISO, not fitting into availabble USB Sizes, hence exploring any other possible means

Wondering is it possible to get new /used PC boot into WinPE (using small sized USB Stick that has WinPE boot in it), then apply ISO that is extracted from SCCM Image Task Seuence, provided that ISO was copied to local DP already

Bascially when PXE is down for whatever reasons, I am looking for alternate means to ensure Imaging happens without relying on USB sticks

Thanks, Vasu

Windows 10 OS deployment fails

I am trying to build a Windows 10 image.   I have a Dell Optiplex 7050 and I downloaded the driver pack for this model and created the driver package within CM2012.   I PXE boot and begin the build.  It runs without error.   But when the build is done I am at the Windows 10 login screen but only Administrator can log in (there is no domain available).  But, the password I entered for Administrator within the Task Sequence does not work.  So I have no way of logging on.

so I changed the task sequence to "join a workgroup"  Same problem.  Only Administrator can log in and the password I entered in the task sequence for user Administrator does not work.

The name I gave this machine does Not appear anyplace in AD either.   so it must still have the MININT- name.

is there something special  you need to do for Windows 10 work work in a task sequence?
