OSD Strange Driver injection issue "Process completed with exit code 2147500037 OSDDriverClient"
Hi,
We got an strange issue with computer model z400 and Z420. With the memory setup 16 GB RAM we get an faild driver injection. But If we have 8 GB RAM, Everything works fine. We have tested the memory, with no error. And It is same for every delivered
HP Z420 with 16 GB (4*4GB RAM).
Strange? Any feed back?

How to monitor OSD TS failure and get alert or report?
How to monitor OSD TS failure and get some alert or generate an report?
We have SCCM 2012 R2 CU1 with MDT 2013.
I have checked the OSD reports in SCCM and everyone is emty, where do SCCM get data to the what to activate?
(I thinking of "Task Sequence - Deployment Status" reports)
I am not sure people read report manually or lock at the MDT monitor view. So best I think that generate an email or incident in Service Manager when an TS fails.
We do have SCOM, SCSM, SCO.
Is there anyone that can point what way or what option I have?

WIN PE Size on Surface
Hello TechNet,
I have been looking for a way to change the default font size for the command prompt on windows surfaces when loading into winpe but I haven't been able to find anything in a google search that worked. I can manually change it when I am loaded into WINPE but it would be less tedious if it can be set to a default.
HP OEM OS and SCCM 2012
hello there
i have received 100 HP - ProDesk 600 G1 devices recently , all of them comes with built in windows 7 Pro and the license is eligible to upgrade it to windows 8.1 Pro through the OEM Operating HP-CD , the question here , Can I upgrade it all of them through SCCM 2012 ?! if Yes please provide me the steps to make it with best practice .

Best Option (if any) for Load Balancing Distribution Point(s) on Same LAN
Hey Guys -
I've got a simple question this time. We use SCCM 2012 R2, manage ~800 systems at 3 locations, but perform most work at our main office where this scenario takes place. Here, we have a single DP on-site which is a separate VM than our Primary which is also local.
Recently, our PC Lab tried running our OSD TS on 16 systems which were each started 1-2 minutes apart. When run on a single brand new PC connected via GB network, the OSD TS takes a couple of hours to complete so with 16 it really caused some issues. We had a couple of Programs/Packages/Applications which actually timed out due to the default 120 minute max run time. We don't usually image 16 at a time, but often do 2-3 at once so are looking to find a solution to speed things up anyways.
My Question
What is the best solution / method for implementing any type of load balancing on a single LAN? I'm not asking for true load balancing, but simply any solution where multiple systems running a TS can pull from more than a single local source if possible.
We do not use multicasting and from what I've been told it will not be a possibility as it causes havoc on networks so it's out. I know that some clients can share content depending on deployment configuration, but don't know how / if this applies to OSD Task Sequences.
Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!
Ben K.
WinPE5 x86 / W7 x64 BSOD on Lenovo devices
we just encountered a very strange bug in SCCM 2012 R2 OSD / ADK. After the migration of our SCCM 2012 infrastructure to 2012 R2 the OSD stopped to work on Lenovo devices (x230, S20, S30, ...). Everytime after applying the image and installing the device drivers the windows 7 minisetup stopped with a bluescreen (0x000000F4). We didn't change drivers or the windows 7 image. All that was different was an updated WinPE to version 5 (incl. ADK 8.1).
We use one single task sequence to deploy x64 and x86 W7-installation. So we have a x86 boot-image in use. After extensive testing over the last few days we can confirm that the BSOD only happens with a x86 boot-image. It doesn't happen with a x64 boot-image. It also didn't help to change/update drivers. It look like DISM is doing something vey strange on those lenovo devices. We also have HP devices but they don't seem to have this problem at all.
Can someone else confirm this? Somehow i can't find any other reports about this and i thought our configuration would be prety common.
SCCM- OSD error 0x800700A1
Hello,
I work help desk for a company, and we utilize SCCM OSD deployments to image machines. I have a machine that was successfully imaged in the past, but now I cannot get it to re-image.
To image, I boot from a disk, then plug in a password at the task sequence welcome, it retrieves avaliable policy, I then select the appropriate task sequence (in this case Windows 7x64 Role Based)... All that is good.
It then goes to Format and Partition the HDD
I then receive:
Task Sequence: Windows 7 x64 Role Based has failed with the error code (0x800700A1). For more information, contact your system admin or helpdesk. Computer will automatically restart in 15 min.
I can image other machines fine. Here is some of the log if that helps... Thank You

Task Sequence status fails before 'Report Done'
Hi ,
We have MDT 2013 integrated TS with Config manager 2012 R2. We are doing refresh migrations from xp to windows 8.1
Task sequence runs fine but we have restart just before 'Report done' step and Task sequence reports status as failed after restarting the machine. Looking for some pointers why it never goes to Report done step and always report TS execution status as failed after restart? Any pointers will be appreciated. If i move 'Report done' before restart step, would that help me to have TS successfully finish?

Build and capture task sequence stops after apply windows updates
Hi
SCCM 2012 SP1 CU4. Deploying Windows 7 SP1.
Pulling my hair out over this one. I successfully performed a build and capture installing some applications. When I choose to install Windows updates, the updates install, the system reboots then doesn't continue. Applications don't install, image isn't captured.
I've tired using the default B&C TS and receive the same results. I've amended the TS to as follows, as suggested in a technet forum post: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/a535e509-fc6a-483c-bf24-7e2aa064e5b7/deploying-100-of-available-software-updates-during-a-task-sequence?forum=configmanagerosd
Looking at smsts.log there's errors relating to not accepting the license agreement, but I didn't think this would stop the TS.
Can someone point out why the deployment stops?

SCCM OSD Reboots before Task Sequence Starts
The systems boots, receives the wdsnsp.com via TFTP file. The SCCM background shows. Says "Initializing Windows Please wait", then Reboots. Usually this happens when you don't have the right NIC drivers injected into the boot image or the boot image is not distributed to the DP. Neither one of those is the case here. I have rebuilt the DP twice and I know the boot image is good because it works on my other PXE DP's
I think its either DNS related or something is blocking HTTP traffic from my PXE subnet to my MP because the Client is trying to query the MP for info it fails and the process fails.Thoughts

Package mapping
Hi,
We are planning to upgrade our Vista to Windows 8.1. I am looking for package mapping. We are using SCCM 2012 R2+MDT2013 and wish doing full ZTI.
I read:
I still have some interrogations and I would like exchanging with someone who implemented it.
I am looking for the following scenarios:
1. From a SCCM advertisement:
- Fully automate the previously installed package
2. From baremetal
- Fully reinstall previously installed package from computer A to computer A
- Reinstall previously installed package from computer A on Computer B
Questions:
1. Is package mapping fully support by MS. I found something for SMS 2003 but nothing for SCCM 2012 R2+MDT 2013
2. Is it possible to realise the previous scenario with SCCM 2012 R2+MDT 2013
3. More informations I need to know?
Thanks,
François
Smsts.log has error 0x80070005
Hi ,
We have config manager 2012 and MDT 2013 integrated TS. Our OSD final status comes as failed in monitoring (though it runs all the steps). If i check smsts.log file i see 1 error that is logged very frequently with code 0x80070005. Any pointers will be appreciated.
Regards,
workgroup clients and certificates during OSD
I'm having issues deploying applications during OSD to workgroup computers.
The site server roles are set for HTTP only so I wouldn't have thought that the issue would be certificates but I've exhausted every other avenue, boundaries, ccmsetup properties etc.
Do workgroup clients only require certs if the site server roles are configured to accept Https connections?
Cheers
OSD with brand new HD without formating
Hi, folks!
when i do an OSD on computers with a previous formatted hd (eg over an OEM Windows installed), runs nice. But, in machines that i need change a damaged hd for a brand new one, the OSD fails. But, when i run a quick format before use it and try again, runs nice too. So, how can i solve it? is there any parameter in 'format and partition disk' step or any workaround to this situation?
Thank you all!
Slow PXE boot. TFTP windowing issue
Hi
we have just set up SCCM 2012 and have configured OSD. It works well apart form the length of time it takes to download the boot.wim on a PXE boot.
We took some network traces and noticed that TFTP was behaving as if the Windowing was set to 1 so every block was being ACK'ed before another was sent.
I checked the Windowing size on the bcd file of the boot image and the setting was
ramdisktftpwindowsize 4
Any ideas why TFTP doesn;t seem to be picking this up?
Getting MBAM client to initiate Bitlocker encryption in Task Sequence
I´m trying to accomplish this without a succsess: http://blogs.technet.com/b/deploymentguys/archive/2012/02/20/using-mbam-to-start-bitlocker-encryption-in-a-task-sequence.aspx
The reason to use the script and MBAM client activity is to get TPM password to database.
Now, I might missunderstod something in that article, since it covers quite many parts, but what I do is:
I have Task Sequence which installs MBAM client and then runs the script, and currently the problem is that the process is Waiting for Encryption to Start and at the end I get FAILURE 10008 FALSE Timeout Encryption did not start.
The command line after MBAM installation is:
cscript StartMBAMEncryption.wsf /AddRegFile:AddMBAMRegEntries.reg /RemoveRegFile:RemoveMBAMRegEntries.reg
I took both reg samples as is from article, and only added my endpoint as hex (By exporting registry from already encrypted machine with MBAM policies).
Now, if someone has already sucseeded in this, I would appreciate to share some inside info:
- steps?
- script content as-is?
- reg files (copy paste from notepad) as-is
- current TPM status (mine is "TPM is on and onwership has not been taken").
OSD Deployment Error 80070057
I'm working on deploying a captured image back to the machine I captured it from for testing and I've got some OSD configuration errors that I need assistance with.
I can attach the smsts logfile.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
